Wild Tales (2014)

Wild tales is an anthology foreign language film features several tales of revenge. This film explores revenge that manifests itself in various forms and how it affects the person vying for the revenge and those around him. Here's a breakdown of the short films that are contained inside this anthology masterpiece:

1. Pasternak - Two strangers on a plane realise that they know the same person and soon find out that everyone on the plane is same as them in this regard. This film explores how even the smallest of actions can have dire consequences and how dangerously revenge can manifest itself when a person has been continuously beaten down in small doses over the course of his life.

2. Las Ratas - A waitress working in a restaurant realises that the customer she is serving is a loan shark who was responsible for her father's death several years ago and is now running for mayor. This movie explores how revenge and humanity mix together and often lead to conflicting emotions and disastrous results.

3. El más fuerte - An escalating road rage blows up to an unimaginable proportion. This movie explains how revenge can often lead to disastrous consequences and that its often better to let things slide to an extent rather than pursuing revenge to the point of no return.

4. Bombita - A working class man is forced to take extreme measures when authorities time and again refuse to listen to his grievances. [Spoiler] In this anthology series, this is the only film in which the events work in favour of the revenge seeker.

 5. La Propuesta - The son of a rich family runs over a pregnant woman, killing the mother and the unborn child. The father uses his wealth to get his son out of trouble. This film explores corruption and how wealth is even above law but this story is of course not complete without an element of revenge.

 6. Hasta que la muerte nos separe - This is one weird film. A bride discovers during her wedding party that her husband cheated on her with someone else who is present at the party at the groom's invitation. This leads to a chain of events that spirals out of control.

 You will notice flaws here and there across these stories. But on the whole, it is a brilliantly done anthology series. An IMDb 8/10. Definitely a recommended watch.

Ladies Room (2016) IMDb Plot Summary: This is a story of two besties and the mental adventures they go through in six different loos. It is a show about modern young 'girl bros' struggling to grow up even as they grow old. These girls are mad, bad and completely unapologetic about it! This show is about the story of two young girls living a very dysfunctional life. Every single episode of this Indian TV miniseries takes place in a loo and for most parts, in a loo alone. And its pretty damn amazing. The script is good, the punches are on point, the acting is pretty much all you could wish for and its all topped with amazing direction, set, etc. etc. Apart from slight problems in the script and direction here and there, its a really good miniseries to watch.
