What Happened to Monday? (2017)

'What happens to one of you, happens to all of you'

IMDb Plot Summary: In a world where families are limited to one child due to overpopulation, a set of identical septuplets must avoid being put to a long sleep by the government and dangerous infighting while investigating the disappearance of one of their own.

This movie is set in a distant future where population growth has increased manifold and reached catastrophic numbers. A new agency is created under the Child Allocation (CA) act, which prohibits anyone from having more than one child. Siblings are taken away and put to cryo sleep in hopes of waking them up one day in the future when the population problem has been resolved.

Amidst this mess, seven children are born together (septuplets) to the same mother and the grandfather, an influential man, decides to hide them from the CA enforcers by keeping them grounded inside their home. When they become old enough, the seven kids named after the seven days of the week, are allowed by their grandfather to step out of their house and into the world, with just one condition - they will all assume a singular identity when outside and each one gets to go outside one the day of the week that's their own name.

Doesn't the plot at the very least sound really interesting? I had such high hopes for this one, especially since it stars Naomi Raplace (I know she's had some really bad movies recently, but I thought she could pull this off). But pretty much everything in this movie was pretty bad. A decent concept gone to waste is all I can say about this one.

An IMDb 3/10.
